(More) Congratulations Are in Order!

Great things just keep happening for the girls in my writing group! This week, I'm tipping you off to the best book you'll ever read that hasn't been released yet! A book written by fellow YA author Melissa Landers.(Yeah, she has a pretty awesome first name, too.)

So hop on over to her blog and congratulate her! As we all know, the path to getting published is a tough one, and a fellow writer's support is always appreciated. No one deserves such great news more!

All 4 Alabama

Unless you've been living under a rock (and chances are slim, since you're reading this blog), you already know about the tornadoes and flooding that struck the South a few weeks ago. Like a lot of people, being so far away, I didn't really know what to do to help. Do I contribute to Shelterbox? Text REDCROSS to 90999?

Now there is another way. All 4 Alabama is a relief auction that was set up by a friend, writing buddy, and AL resident Crystal. The unique thing about this auction is that all of proceeds are going to help one specific town get back on their feet. The idea is to get relief to towns that aren't getting attention on the news like the larger towns are.

If you can't donate or afford to bid, the next best thing you can do is spread the word about the auction. After all, the more people who know about it, the better!
