Blogger Shout-outs!

The one thing I love about blogging is the sense of community it builds. However, with that comes some responsibility. There are a few people who comment pretty consistently on my blog. I've been so busy lately that I haven't had the time to pop over to their blogs and comment back. And that makes me feel like a bad blogger.

Since I'm going to be busy busy busy for at least the next two weeks, I thought I'd give some shout outs to those bloggers. Go visit their blogs and then we'll all have a fun chat when I'm not working on four hours of sleep per night.

Friday Blog Hop (3)

Today is Friday and that means it's time for The Book Blogger Hop, started by Jen at Crazy for Books.

How many blogs do you follow?

A lot. Sometimes I think it's too many, but I like that I have a good variety of blogs to read. Sometimes I don't feel like reading book reviews, but want to read about remodeling an office. Other days I want to look at someone's Project 365, or read about the 5k they ran. I have so many different topics in my reader it can sometimes get crazy.

In total there are 150. Most of them are book or writing blogs. A few weeks ago I organized them into folders and that makes it much more manageable. Of course, I don't read all 150 every day, but I do about 30 minutes of blog reading, so I can get through a lot of posts.

How many books are on your to-be-read shelf?

All of my books are jumbled together, so I don't really have a physical to-be-read shelf. I keep track of books I want to read on goodreads. Here is the breakdown:

• There are 138 books on my to-read shelf.
  
• 16 of those aren't out yet
  
• I own 13 of them.
  
• The next audiobook I'm going to read is Paper Towns by John Green. The next paper book will be The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May, & June by Robin Benway

Book Blogger Hop - 7.23.10

Today is Friday and I'm trying something new, The Book Blogger Hop, started by Jen at Crazy for Books.

I'm currently reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I'm about 150 pages in and I'm enjoying it, it's just a real slow go. I wanted to try and finish it before my vacation on Sunday, but that doesn't look like it's happening! At first it was a bit confusing because there was a lot of names and places I wasn't used to, but it's getting easier as I read and identify the characters.
