Writing Progress - 2. 21.11

Happy Presidents Day everyone! If you're one of the lucky ones who has off (like my husband), I wish you a productive writing day. If you're like me and are stuck at the office, I feel your pain!

Today also happens to be my dad's birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Before I get to my goals for this week, I need to do a little explaining as to why there's only going to be two of them. My life has suddenly become more hectic than I can handle. Here's a glimpse at this past week if you don't believe me:

Monday - Got home from work at 9pm. Had dinner with husband.
Tuesday - Got home from work at 9:30 pm. Read for 15 minutes before falling asleep.
Wednesday - Woke up with very bad cold. Got done work at 8 pm (yes! early night!). Too tired to do anything.
Thursday - Done work at 6:30pm. Straight to writer's group. Edited WIP for 1 hour when I got home.
Friday - Worked until 7:30. Went to dinner with husband.
Saturday - worked until 4pm. Had to make dessert for dinner date that husband set up with another couple. Work out. Shower. Out to dinner (we are an hour late because I wanted to work out.)
Sunday - cleaning. grocery shopping. hair cut. Birthday dinner for dad. OH LOOK - it's 10pm and in-laws stop over. SERIOUSLY???? I was about to go to bed!

And now it's Monday again. And I'm exhausted from the lingering effects of that cold I mentioned. And work is only going to get worse this week.

Anyway, here are my goals.
  • Rewrite the final two chapters in my WIP.
  • Stop holding Across The Universe hostage. It's supposed to be on a book tour, but I've had it for a week and a half and I'm only halfway finished with it!
ANNOUNCEMENT: Don't forget to enter my Give It Forward contest! You could win a copy of The Sky is Everywhere, all while supporting an awesome author. Winner will be drawn later this week.

PROGRAMMING NOTE: Since I forgot there isn't any mail today, there probably won't be a recap of My So Called Life until later in the week.

  1. Ha...I always hold the books up since I'm in such a reading slump lately. I'm glad I don't have any more coming to me. No one else would get a chance to read them!

I hope you can get those chapters rewritten! Good luck!

  2. Yeah, I had a week like that last week, too (and it's my son's birthday today, so it continues...).

I finished Across the Universe a few days ago, if you need the "Cliff notes" version just to get you through!
